I have put in over 165 hours of this game so far. I know this game quite well, I will start off with the story. The story is very well made, it will keep you entertained through the whole thing. They brought back gyms which was a relief since they had been missing in Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

I’m not posting spoilers though, the after game could of had more content. For the game play it was well done but also had lots of flaws. Some of the textures weren’t up to par, and some of the character models seemed to be ripped from the 3ds. It was good to get back to the classic play of grass encounters. They also missed an opportunity of making the overworld sprites shiny when it was a shiny encounter.

Multiplayer is really fun with friends when it works. There will be times you try connecting to play with friends, they implemented some weird matching code thing instead of sending requests. That was a very bad decision by them, makes actually getting connected to friends harder than it should be.

Overall I would highly recommend this game though. If you’re a pokemon fan you won’t regret getting this game. The good mechanics of the game outweigh its downfalls. Soon as the DLC is released I can post up a review on it.
