I have had the steam deck now for a few months. This is my experience and opinions on how it is. It could vary for every person.

I ended up getting my steam deck a few months ago, the unboxing experience was pretty pleasant. It came with a really good protective case too. It feels really good in the hands too, no buttons stuck or anything. I did get a defective screen though. It had some dead pixels.

The performance is very good! I love to play my steam back log on it. I don’t think I’ve had any complaints on how any of my games play on it. I also use it as my main emulator for my back up games too. It plays them very well I spend hours on emulators because of it.

Battery life is pretty good too. For what it’s worth it’s good. It could be better though. After playing a pc game for about an hour it drains it pretty fast. I’m always near a charger though so it’s really not a big deal in my opinion.

As I said earlier I had some dead pixels when I received it. I contacted valve support. At first they acted like nothing was wrong and wasn’t willing to help even with multiple pictures of the dead pixels were sent to them. They finally then said they would replace the screen. So I ended up sending it in. I got it back in a few weeks after sent in. When I received it back everything was fixed great.

Overall I really love the steam deck. It’s been a great experience and I would completely recommend getting one yourself!
